Upon this Bible the orgional members of Washington Lodge were
obligated on Friday,
February 19, 1864, at Washington, D. C. It was presented to
the Supreme Lodge of the
World, Knights of Pythias, August 26, 1876 by the founder
of our order, Justus H. Rathbone,
and signed by himself. This Bible was a gift to brother Rathbone
from his mother on his
fifth birthday, October 29, 1844
