Deputy Grand Chancellor at the organization of the Grand Lodge,and
was its first Grand Chancellor.
He was a barber in San Francisco, and exploited the Order for
his own benefit; spoilt his first good
efforts on behalf ot the Ordor by embezzling the funds, and
was suspended in 1870.
